Juvelook vs Juvelook Volume in Korea: which vial, which goal?

Untangle Juvelook, Juvelook Volume and Lenisna: formulation differences, the new Volume 100 vial, evidence limits and what a Seoul quote should specify.

The quick answer

Same family, different treatment questions. Standard Juvelook is commonly discussed for skin quality; Juvelook Volume for contour and volume-related concerns. Both combine PDLLA and hyaluronic acid, but the product and protocol matter. Volume is not simply a stronger upgrade for everyone. Korea now has Volume 100 as well as the existing 200 mg product, so get the exact vial name and quantity before comparing a price.

Start with the goal, then read the vial

A request for smoother-looking skin and a request to change a hollow cheek are different consultations. Our editorial take: start by asking the clinician to identify which concern is present, then explain why the particular formulation and placement suit it. A product name alone cannot establish that you need an injectable.

The cited brochure lists standard Juvelook as 42.5 mg PDLLA plus 7.5 mg HA, and Lenisna as 170 mg PDLLA plus 30 mg HA. Those are product specifications, not a scale of how much better your result will be. Regional names and the exact Korean product on the clinic's shelf need confirmation.

The 2026 update: Volume does not always mean 200 mg

VAIM's September 2026 announcement introduced Juvelook Volume 100 alongside its existing 200 mg product. The new vial contains 85 mg PDLLA and 15 mg HA. An older comparison saying 'Volume is always four times the standard vial' now misses an available version.

That makes a vague 'one vial of Volume' quote incomplete. Ask which version is supplied and how much is allocated to you. The press release describes the manufacturer's intended positioning; it is not a clinical trial showing that the new vial is superior or equally effective for every use.

What the human evidence can actually answer

The preliminary skin-quality study linked here followed 16 patients after a PDLLA + HA protocol. It offers a small human signal for the studied treatment, rather than a direct standard-Juvelook-versus-Volume comparison. It cannot establish that either formulation is the better choice for your face.

Do not transfer a skin-texture outcome to a contour claim, or use an attractive before-and-after from a different injection plan as proof. Ask which product, treatment area, number of sessions and follow-up interval produced the result being shown. A clinician should explain the uncertainty as well as the hoped-for change.

Bigger goals deserve a discussion of unwanted changes

A published case report describes delayed nodules after PDLLA injection. A case report cannot tell us how frequently this happens or rank the two formulations, but it does show why follow-up belongs in the conversation before treatment.

Ask how the doctor handles an uneven result, a persistent lump or a change you dislike. Also ask about previous injectables and whether postponing treatment would make assessment easier. Avoid treating a biostimulator as a casual shopping upgrade when the proposed change involves facial contour.

Why '2 cc' is not a complete price comparison

Injected millilitres depend on preparation and allocation. Two offers with the same cc label may not contain the same amount of original product. Ask for the exact formulation, vial size, your share and planned visits in writing; preparation is the clinician's responsibility.

Glow Lab's standard Juvelook 2 cc benchmark below does not establish a Volume 100 or Volume 200 price. We have no matched Volume benchmark yet. Compare the complete proposed course, VAT and follow-up rather than presenting a standard-Juvelook event price as the cost of a contour treatment.

Current Seoul prices to compare

These are research options, not a personal treatment plan. Prices are medians of Korean event listings for the stated quantity; eligibility and extras vary. Read the price conditions.

A cc is a volume after preparation, not the dry PDLLA dose. Confirm the actual product and vial allocation before using this benchmark.

Questions to take to the clinic

  1. Is my main concern skin quality, a scar or a contour change?
  2. Which exact product and vial size are you proposing: standard, Volume 100 or Volume 200?
  3. How much of the vial is allocated to me, and what does the quoted cc amount represent?
  4. Which evidence supports this product for this area and protocol?
  5. What is the total course price, and who reviews an unwanted result after I leave Korea?

Common questions

Is Juvelook Volume better than Juvelook?

There is no universal upgrade. Formulation, clinical goal and injection plan differ. The sources here do not provide a direct human comparison establishing one as better for every concern.

Is Juvelook Volume always a 200 mg vial?

No. VAIM announced Volume 100 in September 2026 alongside the existing 200 mg product. Confirm the actual version rather than relying on the word Volume.

Is Lenisna the same name as Juvelook Volume?

Lenisna is used in the cited overseas brochure for the larger PDLLA + HA formulation. Names vary by market and new versions exist, so match the actual Korean box and vial specifications rather than assuming every listing is identical.

Sources and scope

This is sourced editorial research, not a hands-on treatment review or an independent clinical trial. Device specifications and manufacturer claims are distinguished from human study findings. Study size, protocol and comparison groups limit what can be concluded. The practical trade-offs labelled as our editorial take are interpretations, not proven superiority. Medical suitability and travel clearance require the treating clinician's assessment.
