Rejuran vs Juvelook in Korea: ingredients, evidence and real doses

Compare Rejuran PN with Juvelook PDLLA + HA for skin quality: evidence limits, product variants, recovery and why two 2cc offers may not match.

Reviewed · Glow Lab editorial research

The quick answer

Rejuran Healer is a polynucleotide (PN) injectable; standard Juvelook combines PDLLA particles with hyaluronic acid (HA). Both are discussed for skin quality, but they are different formulations. Juvelook's biostimulation rationale may be relevant to a texture plan; Rejuran's PN evidence may be relevant to selected skin-quality goals. The sources reviewed do not establish that either reliably outperforms the other in a matched human trial.

The ingredients are different — and names alone are incomplete

Rejuran Healer is a PN product. Rejuran HB Plus is a separate formulation: PharmaResearch describes a combination including PN and HA. A quote should identify the exact product rather than treating every Rejuran version as the same syringe.

The Juvelook product brochure describes PDLLA with HA. Confirm standard Juvelook versus a volume-oriented formulation, how it is prepared and how much active material your package includes. A '2cc skin booster' heading does not establish an equivalent amount of either ingredient.

What human evidence supports

The 2025 PN systematic review included nine studies and 219 treated patients. The studies were small and varied, with low-to-moderate quality. It supports cautious interest in skin-quality effects, not a promise of a dramatic lift or a ranking of every PN brand.

A preliminary PDLLA + HA study included 16 patients receiving two or three sessions four weeks apart. It reported improvement in several skin-aging measures and had no Rejuran comparison group. This is encouraging early evidence, not a direct Juvelook-versus-Rejuran result.

When either product is worth discussing

Our editorial take: discuss Rejuran if the goal is a modest skin-quality change and the clinician explains why a PN product fits. Discuss Juvelook if the clinician proposes its PDLLA formulation for a specific texture or skin-quality plan and explains dose, preparation and the course. Treat claims about better pores, scars or longevity as questions requiring relevant evidence.

Neither is a substitute for diagnosing active acne, a scar type, volume loss or laxity. If you need a lifting effect or an immediate structural change, ask whether a skin booster is addressing the actual concern. A fashionable product should not decide the treatment goal for you.

Recovery and the risk of persistent lumps

Injection plans need discussion of pain, visible bumps, swelling, bruising and infection risk. There is no universal pain winner here: product variant, injection method, area and numbing can alter the experience. Ask about the recovery expected for the actual dose and technique.

A published case report describes delayed nodules after PDLLA injection. It shows that persistent lumps can occur, but does not establish how common they are or that every Juvelook protocol has the same risk. Ask the clinician how preparation, placement and follow-up affect that risk, especially around the eyes.

Compare active dose and course cost, not cc alone

Juvelook is prepared with diluent, so the injected volume depends on that preparation. Two clinics can advertise 2cc while delivering different amounts of active material. Rejuran's product variant and concentration also matter. Ask for the product and dose in writing, with numbing, delivery method and treatment area.

The medians below describe listing categories, not interchangeable doses. Compare the proposed number of visits and total cost. A one-session tourist offer should not be presented as the same outcome as a study using a course over several weeks.

Current Seoul prices to compare

These are research options, not a personal treatment plan. Prices are medians of Korean event listings for the stated quantity; eligibility and extras vary. Read the price conditions.

Equal injected volumes do not mean equal active doses. A diluted Juvelook preparation and a Rejuran syringe are different products; these medians cannot establish a per-cc value winner.

Questions to take to the clinic

  1. What exact product variant is included?
  2. How much active material, syringe volume or vial fraction will I receive?
  3. Why does that formulation fit my specific skin concern?
  4. What evidence supports the proposed number of sessions?
  5. Who manages persistent bumps or complications after I leave?

Common questions

Is Juvelook better than Rejuran for pores or scars?

A universal advantage is not established by the sources reviewed here. Ask which scar or texture problem is being treated and which human evidence supports the proposed formulation and protocol.

Are 2cc Rejuran and 2cc Juvelook equivalent?

No. Juvelook's injected volume depends on dilution and the fraction of a vial used. Rejuran's variant and concentration matter too. Compare active dose and the complete plan.

Can one session deliver the full studied result?

Do not assume so. The cited PDLLA + HA study used two or three sessions, and PN studies use varied courses. Get expectations for the single visit you can actually attend.

Sources and scope

This is sourced editorial research, not a hands-on treatment review or an independent clinical trial. Device specifications and manufacturer claims are distinguished from human study findings. Study size, protocol and comparison groups limit what can be concluded. The practical trade-offs labelled as our editorial take are interpretations, not proven superiority. Medical suitability and travel clearance require the treating clinician's assessment.
